Welcome to Devon Elementary School!
My name is Tami Noel and I am the counselor for the building.
What does my role entail?
An Elementary Counselor is a resource person for students, teachers and parents. The counselor is available to assist all students with the following:
- feel safe in a friendly, nurturing environment
- develop self-confidence
- develop social skills
- learning problem solving skills
- develop an appreciation of self and others
How does the Elementary Counselor help?
The counselor:
- conducts classroom guidance lessons
- provides individual and small group counseling
- participates as a member of the School Intervention Team and School Climate Committee
- consults with professionals within and outside the school to access and coordinate appropriate services for students
- encourages positive dialogue between school and home
